of small graphic novel stories. Most of the stories revolve around the school. There
are popular characters in these stories like Babymouse and Lunch Lady as well
as some new characters that children will enjoy. Many surprises are in store

The setting of Comics Squad: Recess! has a big part in the development of the book. Most of the stories take place during recess or on school grounds. The author and illustrator portray the setting in vivid imagery and dialogue. The theme in the stories of Comics Squad: Recess! revolve mostly about fighting crime or vanquishing evil. Several of the comics have heroes overcoming some odds and battling through adventures.
