It's Perfectly Normal

Harris, R. (2009). It’s perfectly normal. Boston, MA: Candlewick Press

Summary: This book is narrated by a quirky bird and worried bee approaching subjects in a relaxed and child friendly way. It discusses subjects like sexual orientation, sexual reproduction, pregnancy, birth control, sexually transmitted diseases and sexual abuse.
Commentary:The theme of this book has to do with puberty and problems that adolescents may come by during this time. This theme is very important for teenages because they need to be informed that what they are experiencing is normal and part of their development. It is delivered in a very relatable way without being condescending.
